Reporting an error
- Paste the link to the article
- Quote the sentence that needs correcting
- Name your source: an inscription edition, excavation report or book with page number
Submitting an article
- Original work, not published elsewhere
- 1,500–6,000 words, with full references
- Send a short abstract first; we will reply before you send the full text
Asking for permission
- Name the article and the part you want to use
- Say where and how it will appear
- Short quotations with citation need no permission
How long will it take to get a reply?
We usually reply within 3–5 working days. Corrections are reviewed against the cited sources, which can take a little longer.
Can you help with my thesis or assignment?
We are happy to point you to sources and explain how to cite our articles, but we cannot write or review assignments, theses or examination answers.
Can I reuse your articles or images?
Short quotations with full citation are welcome. For anything more, including translations and teaching material, please ask for permission using the form.
